28 Turning People From Darkness to Light
The Scriptures are clear:
Jesus Said Paul’s Mission Was:
“…to open their eyes
and turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan to God.”
– Acts 26:18
James Said:
“Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way
saves them from death
and covers a multitude of sins.”
– James 5:20
God Said to Ezekiel:
“If you fail to warn them…
their blood I will require at your hand.”
– Ezekiel 33:7–9
Christianity is not passive.
It is rescue work.
This is why weekly attendance Christianity is an existential disaster—
it trains people to spectate while others drown.
Imagine lifeguards sitting in the lifeguard chair watching someone drown—
but instead of diving in, they announce:
“Don’t forget we have a class next Wednesday about water safety!”
Ugh. Sounds bad right? But don’t say the silent part out loud or you will get into SO much trouble!
Here’s the thing though. It’s not an insult, it’s an obvious conclusion from the fruit, so let’s all go TOGETHER into:
“The body of Christ built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
What is wrong with this plan?! Let’s do this TOGETHER. We’re not to be, and are not, rivals. So, let’s do this new thing, that was the Plan from the very beginning, before the laziness, worldliness, unsaved “Christians,” compromise, Romans, and other godless world religions became our energy and life vampires.
In the Ecosystem, every believer is a rescuer:
- pulling friends from addiction
- saving marriages and children’s souls and futures
- confronting sin
- offering hope
- restoring the fallen
- freeing the oppressed
- guiding the confused
- standing with the broken
- teaching truth
- protecting the vulnerable
This isn’t optional. It’s natural overflow.
It is the daily life of those who carry His Spirit.
Turning people from darkness to light is not the job of clergy, which isn’t even a Christian religious position, per se. Gifts yes, Overseers, yes, depending. But Clergy and titles and “running the show”—not even a possibility.
It is the job of every priest, every believer to be all that. Read the FIFTY-NINE “one another” verses to see who you Are.
And Gen Z is ready to do it—
in the midst of an Ecosystem where Jesus is unleashed to have His way, gradually working supernatural Life into whoever is willing “to share in His suffering, that they might share in His Glory.”
